When I was a kid I always had to have ketchup or ranch on everything. It got so bad I got the nickname condiment queen. As I’ve gotten older my obsession with condiments has faded, but I do still like ranch dressing on pizza or my salad!
I was so excited to learn that it can be made at home when my mom made it one night for me. Ever since then I will not eat store bought ranch. This is so much better! The taste is a 100 times more flavorful and it taste fresher.
Here is the recipe:
5 TBS dried onion
7 Tsp parsley
1 Tsp garlic powder
2 TBS Mix
1 C. Mayo
1 C. Buttermilk
Here is tonight dinner with homemade ranch that I made! Hope you enjoy! Xo – C
Hi guys! So I came across this quote today & this is something that is very near & dear to my heart. Our mouth is one of the most vicious tool we have on our body. It can also be the most loving & helpful tool we have!
With that said so many times people will not think before they say something & it can devastate another person. Why do we feel it’s completely okay to impose our hateful disgusting words on someone? What gives us that right? That’s definitely not what freedom of speech means.
As a society we need to show more love & class. We don’t need to be spewing hate or anger. We need to think before we say things. You can’t take it back once you say it. Also once it’s said it can just create more problems & it shows that you are just as immature as the other people doing it too.
As I write this I include myself in the group that needs to be better! So join me in taking the challenge of speaking more love & positivity to & about those who are around us!!
I have to say sometimes I feel like I am so naive. When someone tells me something I believe them. I trust them. Then when that something that they told you gets brought back up they change their story & say that’s not what they said & then it becomes that’s not what they meant…
When do you start to question if they are telling the truth? How do you deal with it? Do you let it slide. If they lie about such little things what else are they lying about then?
Then these thoughts go through my head do I trust them now? How can I continue to trust them? Is it smart to trust them? Will I continue to get hurt? Is everything include our friendship a lie? I just don’t know. I feel like I’m at a crossroads. I can with continue down the road I’m on or put the brakes on & go to the right & break free into the light. It’s not easy because you have built someone with this friend & breaking free isn’t easy…
On March 25 my husband & I went to the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanical Garden. It was a beautiful day warm, but not to warm with a gentle breeze. My sister had given me an article about how it was peacock day there & she knows I’m obsessed with Peacocks!
I have so many pictures that I thought I would upload them in the order that we went on our adventure so that you could see what our day looked like! I hope that you enjoy the natural beauty as much as we did!
We got to see different trees & foliage from areas from Africa, Australia & Asia. Simply amazing! The flowers there were also stunning. It was just so breathe taking & peaceful. It was so nice to go & be surrounded by nature. We were able to hike on some of the trails they had there & be surrounded by bamboo & even find little hidden ponds back in there! There’s a couple water waterfalls & they are just beautiful. It was so much fun!
So the man reason we went was because of my obsession PEACOCKS! They were amazing!! So a male is a Peacock and is the one that fans it’s tail & shows it’s beautiful colors to attract the females which are called Peahens. Peahens are brownish with very little to no color & they do not have a tail like the male. They make a mating call that I say sounds like what the raptors in Jurassic Park make & when their tales are fanned out they make a rattling noise like a rattlesnakes tail does. It’s really cool & creepy at the same time.
Overall it was a very beautiful & interesting day. We got to see so much & we learned so much too. It was nice going on an adventure & getting to see things that most people don’t get to because either you have to travel far away or they don’t know that it’s available to experience there. Being unplugged from everyday life & stresses & technology for a couple hours was really nice too.
If you are interested in going I encourage you to.The arboretum is located in Arcadia, CA. It’s inexpensive & quite enjoyable. I recommend doing this with your spouse/significant other or as a family trip. You can find all the information & more at http://www.arboretum.org
This week we finally had some cool weather & I figured it was time to make some soup! First I chopped up some carrots, potatoes, garlic & some sweet corn. I seasoned them with paprika & parsley.
Next I put some butter & buttermilk & water to create my broth. I let it simmer & marinade together. Then I added chicken that I seasoned with garlic & paprika.
After the chicken cooked I added all my veggies together & cooked it until the the veggies were soft & then it was ready to serve. For those of you that will make this recipe I never measure I just eyeball things. I also served it with sourdough that I sliced up & brushed with an olive oil & parsley mix. I hope you guys enjoy it!
